The hgSBR (High-Gradient Sequencing Batch Reactor) is an innovative biological wastewater treatment system designed for efficient removal of contaminants from both domestic and industrial wastewater. It utilizes SBR (Sequencing Batch Reactor) technology along with bio-beads, eliminating the need for a secondary settler and operating effectively within a single tank.
Native microbes present in the wastewater form bio-beads (biofilms and granules) which play a crucial role in removing contaminants. This process selects and enriches functional and aggregating microbes, offering superior settling characteristics and high biomass levels.
A sewage treatment plant was inaugurated by several distinguished guests including the Director of BARC (Bhabha Atomic Research Centre), the OSB (Officer on Special Duty) of DAE (Department of Atomic Energy), the Secretary of DAE, and the Chairman of the Atomic Energy Board. The inauguration ceremony marked a significant advancement in environmental management and sustainability efforts under the aegis of India’s atomic energy authorities.
The RVNL (Rail Vikas Nigam Limited) sewage treatment plant was inaugurated by esteemed members of the Railway Board, the Director of RVNL, and the Secretary of the Department of Atomic Energy (DAE). This event marks a significant step in enhancing sustainable waste management practices within the railway infrastructure.
